Texas State volleyball player Kenedi Rutherford is the daughter of Rice football four-year letterman Deric Rutherford ‘95 (1991-92-93-94).  Interestingly, her sister Reagan is a member of the NCAA W Volleyball defending national championship Kentucky Wildcat team.  (Thanks, Bill Cousins, Joe Graves and Russell Henderson!)

Over the summer, Deric and his wife Latosha (who was a basketball letterwinner at Sam Houston State) opened their first restaurant, Kale Me Crazy, at 18th and Shepherd in the Heights.  The restaurant is an Atlanta-based health food chain, “offering juices, smoothies, salads and wraps in a sleek, upscale environment”.
