September 10, 2013: RUBPA cordially invites all Rice fans to attend our third Rice Baseball Alumni Lecture by former Rice student-athlete Becky Wade on Friday night, November 1 at 6 pm in "R" Room as part of Alumni Game Weekend. Throughout her collegiate career, Becky distinguished herself in academic achievement and athletics excellence.
The topic of Becky's speech will be "Going the Distance as a Watson Fellow: 22 Countries, 72 Beds and 3,500 Miles Run".
Becky's speech is free, is open to the public and has been added to the ARA Events Calendar. Please visit the webpage here and RSVP so that we can get a head count in advance.
September 7, 2013: The Baseball Awards Banquet on the field at Reckling Park will take place at 6 pm on November 2, 2013. This event replaces the RBI Club Cohen House dinner of the past and will involve a celebration of last year's team with awards given to players and donors as well as providing RBI members with an opportunity to meet next year's squad and hear from Coach Graham.
In addition to the MVP award selected by the coaches, the players from last year will select the recipient of their most valuable teammate award and RBI members will select their favorite Owl award.
September 6, 2013: Plans are underway for the Rice Baseball Alumni Game at noon on November 2, 2013 at Reckling Park. All Rice fans and Rice baseball alumni, please mark your calendars! An online Alumni Game Registration Form for Rice baseball alumni, accessible from this webpage, will be available shortly. Please note that in accordance with NCAA rules, a Varsity vs. Alumni game is prohibited. Please stay tuned as details unfold! In addition to the Rice Baseball Alumni Game, there will be a Rice Baseball Alumni Lecture on Friday night and a Baseball Awards Banquet on Saturday night as part of the weekend.
