Four-year Rice football letterman Earl Cooper ‘81 (1976-77-78-79) was the first Owl to score a Super Bowl TD by catching Joe Montana’s first career Super Bowl TD pass in Super Bowl XVI on January 24, 1982.  Read more.  In 2019, he was inducted into the Rice Athletic Hall of Fame.
