Former Rice baseball player Bradley Gneiting started five consecutive opening days for the Owls from 2017-2021.  After Rice, Bradley took a job with Weaver Accounting in Fort Worth and he is currently experiencing his first busy season doing audit work. (Thanks, Mike Ross!)

In 1975, Mickey Reichenbach, the father of two-year Rice baseball letterman Clay Reichenbach '06 (2004-05), won the College World Series Most Outstanding Player Award while helping lead Texas to a national championship in Omaha. (Thanks, Mike Ross!)
