Trivia Answer:
Henry John Deutschendorf Jr, known professionally as John Denver, studied architecture at Texas Tech and won an Emmy and two Grammys.  Interestingly, his father, Henry John Deutschendorf Sr, was a famous Air Force pilot who set several world speed records including one in a B-58 Hustler.  (Thanks, Guy Rollins and Mike Ross!)

With 90 as of last Thursday, Carl Pierre became the Rice M Basketball single-season record holder for three-pointers made.  Interestingly, Egor Koulechov set the single-season record for three-pointers attempted with 234 in 2016.  (Thanks, Chris Kohnhorst!)

Today, the Rice basketball teams begin play at the C-USA Tournaments in Frisco.

Former Rice baseball player Bradley Gneiting started five consecutive opening days for the Owls from 2017-2021.  After Rice, Bradley took a job with Weaver Accounting in Fort Worth and he is currently experiencing his first busy season doing audit work. (Thanks, Mike Ross!)
