Twenty years ago this week, Rice swept LSU in a Super Regional at Reckling Park with back-to-back complete game shutouts thrown by Steven Herce and Justin Crowder.  For the series, the two Owls pitchers limited the Tigers to a .136 batting average and struck out 16 batters.  (Thanks, Mike Ross and Jim Woodward!)

In 1969, roommates Warren Skaaren ‘69 and Ron Bozman ’69 were Rice Student Association President and Vice-President, respectively.  In 1991, Ron won an Academy Award as one of the producers of “The Silence of the Lambs”.  In 2016, he was an ARA Distinguished Alumni honoree.
