Jerlyn Mardis (1949-2025):
As previously reported, Jerlyn Mardis passed away on November 24, 2024. Born in Louisiana, she earned a BA in English and Political Science in 1973 (as a member of the class of 1971) and a Master of Business and Public Management from Rice in 1982. She met her husband, David Merritt (class of 1971) at a class reunion. She worked more than thirty-six years as a lecturer at Rice.
