Trivia Answer:
Condoleezza Rice, who earned a master’s degree from Notre Dame in 1975, was the first female African-American to serve as US Secretary of State.  Yesterday, she was on campus to speak at a Baker Institute event.  And, this weekend, the Owls open the 2024 baseball season with a weekend series against the Fighting Irish.  (Thanks, Walt Greenberg and Mike Ross!)

Trivia Answer:
OJ Brigance ’92 is the only football player in history to win a Grey Cup (Stallions, 1995) and a Super Bowl (Ravens, 2001) with teams based out of the same city (Baltimore).  He was inducted into the Rice Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003 and he was honored with an ARA Distinguished Alumni Award in 2012.  (Thanks, Chris Kohnhorst and Mike Ross!)

Larry Izzo ‘96 played on three Super Bowl Championship New England teams (2001, 2003, 2004).  Also, he won a Super Bowl ring as assistant special teams coach for the New York Giants in 2012.  (Thanks, Vicki Bretthauer and Boyd Harrison!)
