On June 4, Grant Youngman passed away at the age of 76. In 1968, He earned a BA from Rice and was commissioned as an ensign in the US Navy. Also, he earned an MBA from Georgia State. Fred Boyett (1930-2021):
On June 10, Fred Boyett passed away. A native Texan, he earned a BA from Rice in 1951. He enjoyed a thirty-five year career with US Customs, retiring as Asst. Regional Commissioner in Houston in 1987. Also, he loved “hunting and fishing” and he “competed fiercely in golf for many years”. He is survived by, among others, his wife of nearly seventy years, Dorothy. Click here for the obituary.
Charles Koberg III (1935-2021):
On June 3, Charles Koberg III passed away Raised in San Angelo, he earned a BA (1956) and a BS (1957) in Chemical Engineering from Rice. He enjoyed a career with Convair, Monsanto Textiles, a wig and hairpiece manufacturer and wholesaler in Hong Kong and as a venture consultant.
