Charlcy Black (1931-2026):
On March 18, Charlcy Black passed away. A native Texan, she attended Rice (Brown College, class of 1952). She enjoyed a career with LTV and Lockheed Martin. Also, she “was an avid traveler, skier, golfer and bridge player”. She is predeceased by her husband Donald (they were married for sixty-one years when he passed away in 2014). Dr Larry McIntire (1943-2026):
As reported, Dr. Larry McIntire, who founded the Department of Bioengineering at Rice, passed away on January 23, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 18, 2026, at noon at the Park Springs Community Main Clubhouse, 500 Springhouse Circle, Stone Mountain, GA 30087. Click here for more details.
