Mary Jax (1929-2026):
On September 21, 2026, Mary Jax passed away. A native Houstonian, she earned a BA from Rice in 1950 where she met her future husband Jerry Jax ’49. She was active in her church. And “she was a friend to everyone she met, and her warmth, kindness, and caring spirit touched the lives of many”. She is predeceased by, among others, Jerry (they were married in 1949 and he passed away in 2015). Click here for the Chronicle obituary.
