 ‘A Celebration of Reading’ highlights the Houstonian who ran Washington (Houston Chronicle)

Dr Jay Palmer (1956-2021):
On April 17, Dr Jay Palmer passed away.  Raised in Fort Worth, he earned a BA from Rice in 1979 and a MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.  Beginning in 1988, he enjoyed a thirty-two year career in private practice in Fort Worth as an ear, nose and throat surgeon specializing in pediatric diseases.  Also, he was a “passionate home chef” and he was active in the community.  Click here for the Star-Telegram obituary.

Kyle Trask is one of three Texas high school QBs whose name is projected to be called in the NFL Draft beginning on Thursday.  He is the grandson of the late Orville Trask ’56 who was a three year track & field letterman (1954-55-56) and a two-year football letterman (1954-55).  Read more.
