Alex Quoyeser (Brown '15):
Alex Quoyeser, the son of Joe Quoyeser ’84, is part of a group of five former Brown University football players who own twenty-five percent of Hot Rod Charlie, a favorite in the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.  Yesterday, he was interviewed on The Charlie Pallilo Show here (go to 4/28/2021 CP Show Hour 1 and start at 38:20 mark).

On Monday, the Voice of the Owls JP Heath enjoyed a “great night” at Globe Life Field watching Brock Holt and Anthony Rendon play.  Also, he was photographed with Austin Kubitza who is a New Business Development Representative for the Rangers.  Check out JP’s tweet here

James Daily (1929-2021):
On April 17, James Daily passed away.  A native Houstonian, he earned a BA from Rice in 1951 and later received a CPA designation.  After military service, he enjoyed a thirty-year career with Tenneco, retiring in 1985 as VP and Controller.  Also, he “was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Houston Astros”.  He is survived by, among others, his wife Ginger (they were married for sixty-eight years).  Family members with Rice ties include his daughter Kathy ‘76 and her husband Ed ’76 who is a Professor in the Practice in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice.  Click here for the Chronicle obituary.
