Moody Center shows a half-century of Rothko’s influence (Rice News)

Kirsten Siebach:
On Thursday, NASA’s next Mars rover Perseverance is scheduled to land on the planet.  Rice’s Martial geologist Kirsten Siebach is one of the mission specialists selected to operate the rover.

Dan Schomer (1937-2021):
On February 5, Dan Schomer passed away.  Born in Oklahoma, he graduated from Rice in 1959 with a double major in Accounting and Economics.  After military service, he enjoyed a career in accounting, retiring twice.  Also, he had a lifelong passion for playing bridge.  He is survived by, among others, his brother, Don Schomer MD, who earned a MBA from Rice in 2000.  Click here for the obituary.
