Last week, Transocean announced the signing of an agreement to acquire Valaris in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $5.8 billion.  Jeremy Thigpen will serve as Executive Chairman of the Board.  A 1997 Rice graduate, he was a four-year football letterman (1993-‘94-‘95-‘96).  Read more.
