NCBWA Preseason Top 35:
In its preseason Top 35 poll released on Tuesday, top ranked by the NCBWA were LSU (#1), Tennessee (#2), Stanford (#3), Florida (#4) and Texas A&M (#5).  This season, Rice is scheduled to play a total of 8 games against Stanford (#3), Texas A&M (#5), TCU (#16) and Texas Tech (#22).
