In spring training action yesterday, Tristan Gray (.313) went 0-for-1 for the Rays, Lucas Luetge (0-0, 2.35) gave up 2 runs (earned) in 1.1 innings for the Yankees and Anthony Rendon (.200) went 0-for-2 with a walk for the Angels.

Jon Duplantier:
Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reported that Jon “Duplantier cut his hand and did not make a scheduled appearance Monday”, March 15.

Spring Training:
In spring training action yesterday, Tristan Gray (.333) went 0-for-1 for the Rays and Anthony Rendon (.217) went 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout for the Angels.

Paul Leung (1923-2021):
On February 27, Paul Leung passed away.  Born in Hong Kong, he emigrated to the US in 1949 after serving in the Chinese Air Force as a flight engineer during WWII and earned a MSME degree from Rice in 1952.  He spent a “long and illustrious” career at Bechtel Power, rising to become Chief Engineer.  Also, he “enjoyed fine dining, traveling, and telling stories”.  He is survived by, among others, his wife Dr Yang Ying Lu.  Click here for the Los Angeles Times obituary.
