Rice celebrates new Virani Undergraduate School of Business (Rice News)
Donna Collins (1948-2025):
On January 11, Donna Collins unexpectedly passed away. A native Houstonian, she earned a BA (‘70), a MA (‘73) and a PhD (‘76) from Rice, all in Behavioral Science. At Rice, she met and married the late George Collins ‘72/’73/’77. Together they raised three children and she was a sociology professor at the University of St Thomas for fourteen years. After earning a BA in Computer Science from UH Clear Lake in 1990, she worked in industry as a technical trainer and then a safety trainer.
