Guest Trivia Answer:
First, thanks to Buddy Herz and Hal Gosnell for the guest trivia question!
Owl Gordon Speer accounted for all the points in the Rice 7-2 win over Texas A&M on November 14, 1959. He returned a punt 60 yards for a TD and then kicked the subsequent extra point to account for all of the Owls' points. Previously, his punt from the Rice 4-yard line into a stiff wind was blocked by the Aggies and rolled into the end zone before being covered by the Owls for a safety. Eight days later, he was selected by the Dallas Texans in the inaugural AFL draft. (Thanks, Dan Brast, Chris Kohnhorst, Mike Ross and Andy Williams!)
