The late Ralph O’Connor was born in Pasadena, California in 1926, graduated from Johns Hopkins in 1951 where he was a member of the football and basketball teams during his freshman and sophomore years and received an Association of Rice Alumni Gold Medal in 1987.  He passed away on December 30, 2018.  (Thanks, Chris Kohnhorst!)
