Last Saturday, Dominique Ennis became the all-time leader in three-pointers made in the Rice Women’s Basketball program.  Through Saturday, she has made 202 career three-pointers in the program.  (Thanks, Tre Fischer and Chris Kohnhorst!)

The late Malcolm Gillis, Rice's sixth president, earned a BA and a MA from the University of Florida.  While there, he met Elizabeth Cifers and they were married after their graduations from Florida. (Thanks, Chris Kohnhorst and Mike Ross!)

On Friday, the Owls open play against the Gators in the first round of the NCAA Volleyball Championship in Dallas.

Edgard Odell Lovett, Rice’s first president, was a Princeton professor.  George Rupp, Rice’s fifth president, earned an AB in English at Princeton in 1964.  On Wednesday night, the Tigers W Basketball team defeated the Owls, 69-56, at Jadwin Gymnasium.  (Thanks, Mike Ross!)
