Four-year Rice football letterman Eddie Dyer ’36 (1918-19-20-21) managed the St Louis Cardinals to a World Series title in 1946. He also lettered in baseball and track at Rice, winning the Southwest Conference championship in the broad jump in 1921. (Thanks, Mike Ross!)
