Roy Shaw Jr (1936-2024):
On August 13, Roy Shaw Jr passed away. A native Houstonian, he graduated from Rice in 1958 where he met his future wife, Judith Helmle ‘61. After military service, he worked for IBM before founding Shaw Systems Associates in 1967. Today, the company is a leading provider of modern web-based loan servicing and collections software. Also, he enjoyed water sports, traveling, and was an enthusiast of the arts and theatre. And, they were philanthropists through the Helmle Shaw Foundation. He is survived by, among others, Judith (they were married for sixty-five years). Click here for the Chronicle obituary.
