Linda Kay Cherrington Hershey (1950-2024):
On July 22, Linda Kay Cherrington Hershey passed away "after a long courageous battle with a neurological disease". Raised in Harlingen, she earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Rice in 1970, a master's degree in public affairs from UT Austin in 1974 and a MBA from UT Austin in 1996. She enjoyed "a career in public affairs, focused on the development and refinement of public mass transit systems". She is survived by, among others, her husband of twenty-six years, Johh Paul Hershey and her sister Janet Cherrington Eakes '77. Click here for the obituary.
