Owls in NFL Playoffs:
Yesterday, Buffalo defeated Chris Boswell and Pittsburgh, 31-17, in the Wild Card Round to advance to the Divisional Round on Sunday, January 21 at home against Kansas City. With a 40-yard field goal in the 3rd quarter against the Bills, Chris has never missed a field goal (17-of-17) in 9 postseason games.
Interestingly, the starting center for the Bills is Mitch Morse (Missouri ’14). His mother Catherine Morse and Rice Athletic Hall of Famer Holly Jones Wright ‘88 were high school basketball teammates and his uncle is Joe Quoyeser ‘84.
Also yesterday, Nick Leverett and Tampa Bay defeated Philadelphia, 32-9, in the Wild Card Round to advance to the Divisional Round on Sunday, January 21 at Detroit.
