On Friday, the Explorer’s Club recognized Michelle Gadd ’93, a large scale conservation specialist, as one of fifty “extraordinary people who are doing remarkable work to promote science and exploration, but remain under the radar and out of the limelight”. Read more.
Margaret Pack (1922-2023):
On December 6, 2023, Margaret Pack passed away. A native Texan, she served in World War II as an aviation machinist’s mate and then graduated from Rice in 1950 studying accounting and economics. She enjoyed a career with Humble Oil (now ExxonMobil) from 1950 until 1982, she was active in the Army Reserve and she was involved with her church.
