On August 28, Elisabeth McGinty Laigle passed away.  A native Houstonian, she graduated from Rice in 1953 with a BA in French where she was a member of the Pallas Athena Literary Society. The year before, she married George Laigle ’51.  She was a charter member of St Martin’s Episcopal Church.  Her “gift to the world was her capacity to love” and “for fifty years she hosted a Christmas Eve Open House for everyone she knew”.  She is survived by, among others, George (they were married for almost sixty-nine years) and four children.  Click here for the Chronicle obituary.
