Yesterday, Magnolia West defeated Argyle, 3-2, in the Class 5A state championship game in Round Rock.  Mustang Jackson Blank, a ’23 Rice baseball signee, was selected as the game’s Most Valuable Player for going 2-for-3 with 2 RBI “that broke open the game” and for making “a spectacular game-saving catch in center field”.
