OJ Brigance ’92 is the only football player in history to win a Grey Cup (Stallions, 1995) and a Super Bowl (Ravens, 2001) with teams based out of the same city (Baltimore). On January 2, 1950, Tobin Rote quarterbacked Rice to a 27-13 Cotton Bowl win over North Carolina. As a pro, he became the only quarterback to win both NFL (Detroit, 1957) and AFL (San Diego, 1963) championships as the starter. He is a member of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2011.
