Gary Preuss (1953-2026):
On July 4, Gary Preuss passed away. A native Texan, he earned a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Rice (Hanszen College) in 1975, a MA from Georgetown and a PhD from the American Institute of Holistic Theology in 2011. He enjoyed a career of more than thirty years as an economist with the Texas State Comptroller’s Office. Also, he was “a gifted writer, musician, and lifelong learner” as well as a world traveler. In retirement, he sang and played piano at his church and he worked as a professional tour guide at the Texas State Capitol and throughout Austin.
