Simmons honors sister's legacy (Rice News)

Lance Haines (1971-2026):
On June 20, Lance Haines passed away.  “He was in treatment for kidney cancer for the last two and a half years of his life.”  In 1993, he graduated from Rice (Baker College) magna cum laude with a BA in Spanish and a BS in Electrical Engineering.  In 1995, he earned a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He spent the last seventeen years of his career with Schneider Electric, most recently as Chief Technology Office of Microgrids.  Also, he loved to travel, taking his first trip at the age of six weeks.  And, he was active in his church.  

“He is remembered as an unfailingly hopeful, level-headed man of God, abounding in energy, humor, intelligence, and a positive attitude.”  He is survived by, among others, his wife Christina.  Click here for the obituary.
