Fernando Casas (1946-2026):
On May 28, Fernando Casas passed away. Born in Bolivia, he earned a BA from Colorado College in 1970 and a MA in1972 and a PhD in 1978 in Philosophy from Rice. “A philosopher both in the formal sense and by way of artistic practice, he forged a unique career as a painter and scholar of time and the self.” The Limits and Proximities Foundation for the Arts in Washington DC is dedicated to preserving his legacy.
