Jimmy Melton (1939-2026):
On April 30, Jimmy Melton passed away. A native Texan, he earned a BA in 1962 and a BS in 1963 in Electrical Engineering from Rice and a PhD from UT in 1972. He spent his career as a nuclear engineer at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory in New Mexico. After retiring, he relocated to Fredericksburg in 2001. Also, he enjoyed cooking and astronomy and was a HAM radio enthusiast. He is survived by, among others, his sister Barbara Peebles. Click here for the obituary.
