Daniel Candler (1936-2026):
On April 29, Dan Candler passed away. A native Texan, he earned degrees in Electrical Engineering from Rice (BA in 1958) and from Carnegie Mellon (PhD in 1966). He enjoyed a career with Marathon Oil and he loved bridge, tennis, dogs and traveling (including attending the Kentucky Derby over 50 times). He is survived by, among others, his wife Betsy (they were married in 1966). Click here for The Courier obituary.
