Karen Shannon McDonell:
Karen Shannon McDonell ’77, Jones College, passed away on April 16 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her son, Shannon (Shan) McDonell ’12, Will Rice College; and her partner Jim Shetter. She is predeceased by her husband Bruce McDonell ’75, Baker College. Karen was a devoted Rice alum. She worked in Rice’s alumni office from 2014-2019. A celebration of life will be held later this year. I will post the obituary when available.
