Dr Jay Beck (1932-2026):
On March 24, Dr Jay Beck passed away. A lifelong Dallasite, he attended Rice (class of 1953) and received a MD degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1955. After military service, he enjoyed an OB-GYN private practice for forty-two years and delivered over 6,300 babies in the Dallas area until he retired in 2004. Also, he enjoyed snow skiing, cruises and woodworking in his shop making furniture for his family. He is predeceased by, among others, his wife of sixty years, Joan.
