Tom Swift (1934-2026):
On February 1, Tom Scott passed away. A fifth-generation Texan, he earned a BA in Chemistry from Rice in 1955 and a LLB from UT Austin in 1958. He enjoyed a legal career in private practice in West Texas including serving as president of the Petroleum Club in Midland in 2003-04. Also, he was avid runner, cyclist and swimmer and was active in the community. “He was loyal and could be counted on to come to the aid of his friends.” He is survived by, among others, his wife of sixty-seven years, Laura.
