Dr Beth Johnson (1966-2026):
On February 12, Dr Beth Johnson passed away after a twenty-three year battle with cancer. Born in Virginia, she earned a BA in Computer Sciences and Economics in 1988 from Rice where she met her future husband Preston Johnson II ’85. And, she earned a MD from Duke in 1996 and practiced medicine in Virginia, North Carolina and Iowa. Also, she was an accomplished pianist and violinist in her youth and music and the arts were lifelong passions for her. “Above all else, Beth loved being surrounded by family.” She is survived by, among others, Preston II (they were married for thirty-five years) and two sons, Preston III and Benjamin.
