Jackie Rundstein (1932-2025):
On December 11, Jackie Rundstein passed away. A native Houstonian and third generation Texan, she earned a BA in English from Rice Phi Beta Kappa in 1953 where she met her future husband Leo Rundstein Jr ‘51/’52. Together, they raised three children and she taught English for twenty years at Jack Yates Senior High and HSPVA. Also, she earned a MA in English from Rice in 1970. “She was deeply interested in societal contributions by regular American women and worked to create an anthology of their life stories for posterity.” She is predeceased by, among others, her husband Leo (they were married for almost fifty years).
