Alice Levisay (1965-2025):
On December 14, Alice Levisay passed away due to cancer. Born in Ohio, she earned a BA in Biology from Rice in 1987 where she was awarded a Watson Fellowship and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins in 1992. She dedicated “her calling to improve health care in underserved communities” and her “remarkable journey touched communities across the globe—from Vanuatu, Lao PDR, and Tonga, to India, Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Cambodia, and Bainbridge Island, among many others”.
