Dr Eberhard Lehnardt (1936-2025):
On December 15, Dr Eberhard Lehnardt passed away. Born in Germany, he earned a BA from the University of Utah in 1966 and a PhD in German from Rice in 1979. He enjoyed a career as a professor at Clarion University in Pennsylvania and at Utah Valley University. Also, despite Parkinson’s disease, he was admitted to the University of Utah medical school at the age of 85. “As a true Renaissance man, he was a lover of life, an adventurer, a uniquely brilliant thinker, an innovator, a teacher, and an enthusiastic connoisseur of Nutella and jam.” Click here for the Deseret News obituary.
