Jim Cloutier (1947-2025):
On November 24, Jim Cloutier passed away after an extended illness. Born in Louisiana, he earned a BS in mathematics from the University at Lafayette in 1969 and a MA (1974) and a PhD (1975) in advanced mathematics (control theory) from Rice. He enjoyed a career as a distinguished civil servant and spent the last seventeen years of his career as a contractor, most recently with Torch Technologies until he retired in September 2024. Also, he was an avid golfer and was active in his church. He is survived by, among others, his wife of forty-nine years Joan. Click here for the obituary.
