Leanne Burnett (1959-2025):
On November 4, Leanne Burnett MD peacefully passed away. A native Houstonian, she earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rice in 1982 and a MD from Baylor College of Medicine. She practiced as a neurologist for most of her career in the Clear Lake community and she was active in the Houston Area Parkinson Society. Also, she was a lifelong practitioner of colored-pencil drawing and she enjoyed baking and reading fiction. Finally, together with her late husband John Halter, PhD ’89, they raised two children.
