Journalist, historian to deliver lecture (Rice News)
Fleming Smith (1936-2025):
On October 15, Fleming Smith passed away. Born in Tennessee, he earned three degrees in architecture – a BA (’58) and a BS (’59) from Rice and a MFA (’63) from Princeton. In 1967, he co-founded Gresham and Smith Architects (now Gresham Smith) where he enjoyed a four-decade career. Also, he was involved in the community. “He left an indelible mark on his profession and community”. He is survived by, among others, his wife of sixty-six years, Judy. Click here for the obituary.
