Jill Peterson (1950-2025):
On August 5, Jill Peterson passed away. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from SMU and a PhD in mechanical engineering from Rice in 1991. After teaching seventeen years at the University of Florida, she moved back to Texas when her husband Bob passed away to assume leadership of two restaurant groups that he had founded. Also, she was passionate about horses. She “will be remembered for her incredible intelligence and wit, and the unwavering love she gave to her family and community”.
