On June 21, 2024, Laura Fletcher passed away at the age of fifty-five. She earned an advanced degree from Florida State, a MA from Rice in 2000 and a MFA from UH. In addition to teaching at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida, among other schools, she was a writer and an artist. “She was unexpectedly hilarious and truly one-of-a-kind, ask anyone who ever met her”.
