Howard Smith (1927-2025):
On March 30, Howard Smith passed away. A native Houstonian, he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rice in 1948. He was a registered Professional Engineer, he ran a family business until he sold it in 1979 and then became involved in real estate and development. Also, he was active in the community and his church. He is predeceased by his wife Adelaide (they were married for sixty-seven years when she passed away in 2018).
