William Lott (1933-2024):
On July 3, William Lott passed away. Born in Mississippi, he earned bachelor’s degrees in Geology and Mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi and then enjoyed a career in the oil and gas industry. He had a inventor’s mind and "his research at the Fondren Library materialized into twenty-five patents credited to his name". He is survived by, among others, his wife and business partner of fifty-one years, Joyce. Click here for the Chronicle obituary.
