Edward Lidiak (1934-2024):
On May 25, Edward Lidiak passed away. A native Texan, he earned a BA (’56), MA (’60) and a PhD (’63) from Rice, all in geology. He enjoyed a career on the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Geology and Planetary Science including serving as department chair for seventeen years. Also, he enjoyed traveling around the world with his late wife, Carol. In 2023, she predeceased him, after a thirty-four year marriage. Click here for the obituary.
