Leighton Young Jr (1937-2024):
On June 3, Leighton Young Jr passed away. A native Houstonian, he graduated from Notre Dame with a degree in Geology in 1959 and attended Rice for his master’s degree. He enjoyed a career as a geologist in the oil and gas business. Also, he actively supported ice hockey in Houston and he was active in his church. He is survived by, among others, his wife of sixty-seven years, Joan. Click here for the Chronicle obituary.
