Dr William Vaughan:
On January 24, Dr William (“Bill”) Vaughan passed away at 75 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.  He earned a BA from Rice in 1968 and a MD from the University of Connecticut in 1972.  He enjoyed a medical practice at the University of Nebraska (where he co-founded the Transplant Center) and UAB (where he established a bone marrow transplant program) until retiring in 2013.  Also, he loved traveling and rose gardening and “considered cooking a creative outlet”.  He is survived by, among others, his wife Cara.  Click here for the Omaha World-Herald obituary.
