In its pre-season poll released yesterday, top ranked by Collegiate Baseball were Texas (#1), Vanderbilt (#2), LSU (#3), Texas Tech (#4) and Stanford (#5). This season, Rice is scheduled to play 12 games against Texas (#1), Texas Tech (#4), LA Tech (#15) and Southern Miss (#48).
